Vocal Ensembles

Where music meets design

Music has been a constant in my life, and some of my most meaningful experiences have come from the vocal ensembles I've been a part of. What makes these groups special to me is that they gave me the chance to combine two of my biggest passions — singing and design. In each ensemble, I wasn't just a performer; I was the person designing the posters, rebranding the group, building the website, or managing the visual identity. That overlap between creative expression and design thinking is something I carry into everything I do.

Washington Men's Camerata

After moving to DC, I joined the Washington Men's Camerata as a singing member and quickly became involved in the organization's operations. I serve on the board of directors and took on the role of volunteer webmaster, ultimately designing and building the Camerata's entire website from scratch.

My work for the Camerata spans both sides of my skill set — I'm on stage for every concert, and I'm also the person making sure the organization's digital presence matches the quality of its performances. From Shopify e-commerce integration to digital ticketing to a music library platform, I built the tools the organization needed to operate professionally in a digital-first world.

Absolute A Cappella

I was a member of Absolute A Cappella at Cornell for nearly four years — singing, leading, and designing my way through the group. I held three officer positions during my time: Public Relations Officer (2016–2017), President (2017–2018), and Alumni Affairs Chair (2018–2020).

As PR Officer, I executed a complete rebrand of the group — new logo, new uniform, new publicity strategy. I created hundreds of pieces of promotional material including posters, stickers, geofilters, and apparel. I produced, directed, and edited all concert promotional videos and managed every social media account. Concert attendance increased by 250% in one year.

As President, I secured bi-monthly paid outside engagements, increased revenue, and planned two large auditorium concerts annually. As Alumni Chair — a position I pitched to the executive board and created myself — I researched, generated, and managed the alumni network and email list, writing monthly newsletters and increasing alumni support and concert attendance.

I also designed the album artwork and packaging for our studio album release, Top Shelf.

Cornell University Glee Club

I sang with the Cornell University Glee Club from 2018 to 2020, one of the oldest collegiate choral ensembles in the country. Beyond performing, I served as the Aesthetics Manager — responsible for designing and scheduling weekly social media content, and creating over 100 pieces of promotional material and apparel for the group's sesquicentennial celebration. I also spearheaded new alumni participation and donation efforts.
